The Beauty of Hawaii

This training takes place at Ahu Lani Sanctuary and Retreat center in a private 24 acre native Hawaiian Ohia and Koa forest of the Big Island of Hawaii. At 3,000 feet of elevation the temperature is cooler but pleasant with mid to high 80s during the day and high 60s at night. Another perk of this elevation is the lack of bugs and mosquitoes. Enjoy some of the clearest night skies in the world! Waipio Valley is only 13 miles away, down through Historic Honoka'a Town. Ahu Lani is adjacent to the Kalopa Forest Reserve which has great hiking trails for exploring. Hapuna (one of the nicest beaches on all of the islands and arguably the world) is only 30 miles away through Waimea. Get to Volcano in an hour and explore the Hamakua coast and the plentiful waterfalls only minutes away. Ahu Lani is a working ranch so there are animals on the property such as horses, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. Ahu Lani is off-grid which means they make power from the sun and by running generators. You may have to change some social media habits to make this work. Communications are available by a cell phone booster for AT&T. Verizon doesn't work at Ahu Lani. There is also satellite internet, which is not very reliable for anything other than emails.

High Quality Instruction

Alice Lucas, from Detroit, is a 500hr registered yoga teacher with a masters in education who leads inversion and meditation workshops nationally. Phoebe Jenkins, from Tucson, is the founder of IAM, and is a movement and health coach, with a background in personal training, yoga, acroyoga, massage therapy, group fitness, nutrition, and dance.

This is an immersive training. The majority of your training hours take place in Hawaii. You’ll have long (and fun) training days and the experience will be exhausting and exciting. In addition, you’ll have required pre-study and homework assignments. All hours must be fully completed by each participant to receive a certification.
